A dry wick is susceptible to burning, so in trying to get that last little bit of e-juice out you might accidentally burn out your wick. A soaked wick is able to handle the heating element that creates the vapour without getting burned because of the e-liquid, but when there isn’t enough e-liquid left in the tank to soak the wick you risk drying it out. Your e-cig works by drawing liquid onto a wick and soaking it. If you hear a gurgle you should definitely ease off.Ī gurgly noise is usually a sign of a dry wick. Trying to draw in e-liquids when you’re running on almost empty can damage your e-cig. A few good inhales will usually do the trick, but beware that it can cause problems for your device. Skilled vapers will have a good sense of their device and will likely be able to zap up every little bit of e-liquid with no problems, so sure, if you’re comfortable that you won’t damage your device you surely can vape it. Read on below to find out the best way of dealing with your e-juice left-overs. So what should you do with? It seems like such a waste to simply dump it out after all, and since e-liquid is an oily substance, can it cause issues to dump it down the sink? Maddeningly, it’s almost always the case that there will be a tiny bit of e-juice left over, that can’t be pulled through the atomiser. Most experienced e-cig users will know how to maintain their devices and will know to do it regularly at the end of each day or week, and most will understand that topping off an old tank will lead to unpleasant results but not a lot of people know what to do with the little bit of e-liquid Australia that gets left at the bottom of the tank. For this reason, many e-cigarette users quickly learn how to clean the tanks, coils and other internal components of their devices, in order to get the most out of their vaping experience and enjoy a clean hit of flavour. A dirty e-cigarette will contaminate your e-juice and wreck its amazing flavour profile.

The Google tuner is mainly for supporting guitars. GuitarTune, Pano Tuner support other musical instruments However, it's free and has a simple interface, ideal for novice guitarists. Plus, there's no way to plug in an electric guitar to the Google tuner to exclude ambient sounds. The former is totally dependent on the microphone quality. However, the Google tuner lags behind in competition with dedicated hardware tuners from companies like TC Electronic, Korg, Peterson, Ernie Ball, and BOSS, among others. TC Electronic, Korg, Peterson offer better features, tuning It also worked better with a smartphone microphone compared to a laptop microphone because the former can be put closer to the sound source-a guitar, here-and is not as concerned with ambient sounds as laptops. The tuner worked better on Google Pixel 5a compared to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and others, reported Android Police. The quality of results also depends on the microphone quality. Google Search launches new built-in feature to help you tune your guitar. Google tuner seemed to be more compatible with Pixel 5a A simple Google search will now bring access to a perfectly tuned guitar with the help of a smart phone or computer. Then, the tuner interface will throw up instructions for tuning the guitar-up or down-to reach the nearest note. When a guitar is played loudly enough in front of the microphone, the tuner will register the strings. The browser should be allowed to access the device's microphone. The guitar tuner can be accessed by typing " Google tuner" in Google Search. Google Assistant can already help tune a guitar, but this built-in Search feature can be accessed on all desktop and mobile devices, including those without the voice assistant.Ī functional microphone, however, is required on the device. Google has added another music-related feature-a chromatic guitar tuner-to its Search capabilities following the release of a feature to identify a song from a hum last year. Surely it would’ve been more prudent for Google to automatically set this for searches such as ‘tuning my guitar’ or ‘how to tune a guitar’.Octo| 12:45 am 2 min read The tuning results depend on the quality of microphone on the device. While certainly a convenient way of tuning your instrument/s, the only real grumble I have is the name. Additionally, it does also need you to know exactly what note each string should be tuned to.įor a handy little tool though, I daresay that some of you will find this useful! As above, all you need to do to access it is visit Google and search for ‘Google Tuner’. Now admittedly, this is not 100% perfect as it does ideally require you to have a half-decent microphone to detect the tone correctly. Presuming you don’t, or perhaps wished you had something a little more convenient, it seems that Google’s search engine might, quite literally, have the answer for you! Google TunerĪlthough it’s not entirely clear exactly when this feature was added, it will load up an integrated tuning solution if you choose to look for ‘Google Tuner’ within their search engine. However, if you are interested in musical instruments, the chances are pretty good that you might have an app installed on your smartphone to help you get the tuning right. Well, strictly speaking, I try, but rather than being played, it is more played upon. 12/3/2023 0 Comments Pica cats cardboardAs an indicator of stress, Pica is a sign of poor welfare for the cat.įabric suckling along with kneading with the forepaws may concern some cat owners and even has been termed as “infantile behavior” by certain experts and grouped in behaviors consistent with pica. It is important to rule out medical concerns initially when dealing with pica and to note that even when the basis is thought to be behavioral, there are cases where pica can contribute to intestinal blockage which can be quite dangerous. Various theories as to the motivation for the behavior range from medical conditions, to a need for more fiber in the diet, early weaning, emotional upset, stress or lack of choice and control. Pica also refers to eating non nutritive substances and is commonly seen in cats that suckle or consume fabric, plastic or foreign objects. Grass chewing in cats is not strictly pica as cats often exhibit a natural preference for grass when it is available and ingesting it may benefit digestion. It has been found to satisfy nutritional deficiencies when chalk, ashes, or bones are consumed for phosphorus or when clay or dirt is consumed for iron. This behavior is seen in humans as well as cats. So why do some cats consume plastic, fabric and other inedible objects? “Pica” is defined as an atypical desire for and eating of substances not normally eaten. Cats are meat eaters and hunters, “obligate carnivores” who depend on those amino acids found only in meat for complete nutrition. 12/3/2023 0 Comments Html countdown timer no javascriptHere In my form $num_questions contains a value of no.of questions user have entered through form, Basically the timer should be set for the value entered by user in no.of questions field but instead its is directly come to 0:00 just after clicking submit the form and redirect to form, I cant understannd how to fix this. Jillson later transferred in the 1950s to the magazine department and primarily worked there throughout the 1960s and 1970s. His boss later referred him to the AJC where in 1950 he began a career as a news department photographer. Jillson, born 1926, began a similar career path with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after working as a projectionist in the Bell Bomber Plant at 18. One aspect that set the magazine apart from the newspaper was the use of large colorful photographs, both within the articles and as print advertisements. In 1980 it would change once more to the Atlanta Weekly. In the 1950s the Journal and Constitution combined to create a Sunday edition known as the Atlanta Journal and Constitution Magazine. Created in 1912, the magazine evolved over time to include in-depth looks on notable figures, different occupations of Georgia residents, sports, as well as scientific advancements. Magazines like the Atlanta Journal Sunday Magazine relied heavily on imagery and documented lifestyle pieces as well as news events. With the new advancements in photography, photojournalism began to take shape and utilized photo essays to tell a story. On special occasions or big stories photographers would be sent to capture events such as presidential visits to the city, natural disasters, or film premieres like Gone With The Wind. Many articles featured the use of illustrations or engravings to enhance the story, but not as a tool for information itself. 12/2/2023 0 Comments Launchbar nmac kedI’ve been using this for 3 years, and I can’t begin to imagine what my life would be like without it. No more digging for forgotten password, 1Password becomes your account storage vault. 1PasswordġPassword can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser, phone or tablet. For this reason, I’d like to share a list of the top Mac OS X apps I use from day to day to improve productivity. Spending time today to improve workflow in the future is always a good use of time. I love using Mac apps to simplify and automate anything in my daily processes. My LaunchBar superpower is Instant Sender-I frequently use the app’s feature for grabbing a document and “sending” it to another app or otherwise handling it-and according to my statistics, I’ve used LaunchBar to open various apps nearly 1,400 times in the past 10 weeks.I’m an app guy. Usage Statistics If you’re really curious how much time LaunchBar saves you, and how you use it, version 6 keeps a tally of how often you use the app and what sorts of actions you’re performing. But for those who aren’t Fantastical users, LaunchBar’s new reminder and calendar-event features are handy. If you’ve ever usedįantastical, you’ll certainly feel a bit of friction with LaunchBar because Fantastical’s natural language parser is so superior. Unfortunately, you can’t use purely natural language (“take out the trash at 8am tomorrow”) for time and date assignments. The syntax is identical to that of Reminders, except that you can also set an alert for how soon before the event you want to be reminded of it. Simply bring up Calendar in LaunchBar, use the arrow keys to drill down into your list of iCloud calendars and select one, press Spacebar to bring up the text-entry box, and then punch in the details of the event. You can similarly create new calendar events. This is pretty great if you prefer to use Apple’s Reminders app over third-party alternatives, but you’ve always wished it offered better quick-entry features. In short, LaunchBar now operates as a full-fledged client for iCloud Reminders. In addition to creating reminders, you can view each reminders list, and even mark individual items as completed from within LaunchBar. The syntax works like this: reminder day time - as you can see in the screenshot here, LaunchBar even shows you how the reminder info is being parsed. When creating your new reminder, you can type just a to-do-item title, but you can also assign a day and time to it if you like. But if the capability sounds at all interesting and worthwhile to you, I encourage you to give it a try-after a few days, these sequences become second nature.) (If you’re new to LaunchBar, this may all sound a bit complicated. Once you’ve selected the list you want, press Spacebar to bring up a text-entry box for creating a new reminder. Then just use the arrow keys to browse your individual iCloud Reminders lists. To create a new reminder, bring up LaunchBar and start typing Reminders to focus on the Reminders app. The frosty theme is my favorite, because it takes some cues from iOS 7 (and Yosemite), and is just slightly transparent. The new design also has options for bright, dark, frosty, small, and Yosemite themes. It’s bigger, bolder, more readable, and more beautiful than before. The company’s website offers aĬomplete list of what’s new-there’s a lot there-but I’ll cover a few of the new features that I think are the most notable.Ī new look The most obvious new feature of LaunchBar 6 is the look. LaunchBar 6 is the utility’s most handsome update yet, and it is also one of the most significant. Objective Development also offers a “Relaxware” trial: You can use LaunchBar for free, with full access to all the features and functions, but the app can only be accessed every so often, making you take a “break” between your time using it. Instead, I’ll focus on what’s new in version 6.Ĭosts $29 for a single license or $48 for a five-computer family license current users can upgrade for $19 or $29, respectively. The app also offers scores-hundreds?-of other features and actions, too many to get into here, but Macworld hasįeatures in reviews of previous versions we’ve also published aĬouple videos full of usage tips and tricks. In addition to the basics of launching apps, there are three other features I use constantly: LaunchBar’s “Instant Send” feature, the ability to dive into and act on documents, and Clipboard History, which tracks recent clipboard contents, letting you browse and paste any with a few key presses. On the right, you can see that I simply typed the letter P. 12/2/2023 0 Comments Everglades safari park opinionesHe gave a bunch of great tips on the tour and we were glad to have him. We tried one and then went back for more- great recommendation. Our tour guide Jorge also recommended we try the guava and cheese pastries At Yisell. We had lunch in little Havana- at Old Havana’s Cuban Bar- Cuban sandwich and Plantain maderous- Delicious! They were also playing Cuban music. It was the perfect amount of time to explore. She is more interested in Arts and the Wynwood Walls were right up her ally. We wanted to pack as much in as possible and this tour met both of our needs. My 13 year old and I were in Miami for a short time. We also saw a wildlife show where a guide showed us alligators and talked about them. It was fun to learn that turning a corner in an airboat is like a car’s controlled sideways skid around a corner. It is replenished by rainstorms and hurricanes. I had forgotten that the Everglades is a shallow slow-moving river filled with tall grasses and some small islands, not a swamp. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and very funny. It was nice to be out of the horrendous downtown traffic. I stayed on the bus for the afternoon tour of the Everglades. Daniel did a masterful job of finding a way around all the closed roads and detours and finding a place to park the bus on the side of the Marketplace and arranging transportation for the people who were leaving the tour (heading back to Miami Beach) and a guide to deliver people to the harbor tour boat. Daniel needed to drop off some people who were going to take a Biscayne Bay cruise and some who were done with the tour. We were stuck in traffic from 1:15-2:30p trying to get back to Bayside Marketplace. When we returned to Bayside Marketplace, the entrance had been closed in preparation for the marathon the next day. I bought a t-shirt and keychain at the Little Havana Visitors Center. I had a Cuban sandwich and shoestring fries. I chose this restaurant, because it was highly recommended by our bus driver and walking tour guide. We had an hour and a half in Little Havana for lunch and shopping. We got off the bus for guided walking tours of Wynwood Walls and Ocean Drive on South Beach. It was a large, comfortable, air-conditioned bus. We were also given a Little Havana Dining Guide, water, USB charging ports, and a WiFi password. On the bus we were provided with interesting maps of our route which included facts about the area, landmarks, businesses, and terminology. I was in awe of Daniel maneuvering that huge bus on narrow traffic-clogged streets. I got picked up at 9.30 at my Hotel and got back around 6pm. It’s a toss up between Wynwood and the Everglades. I learnt a lot on this trip and it’s tough to say which was my favourite part. We sped around the area and stopped for a time while our Captain told us about the area and the wildlife. We ate at the Ball & Chain and had a delicious Cuban sandwich. It’s worth taking the guide’s advice on where to eat as some places are not speedy. We were able to get something to eat and then wander up and down the road. Little Havana for lunch was a great idea. The Wynwood Gardens was awe inspiring and we caught a couple of artists adding their touch while we were there. I’m not sure I would have visited any other way. The bus took us over to Wynwood Walls which was amazing. Juan and the driver (sorry I don’t remember his name) made the tour around Miami Beach enjoyable and shared a load of information with us. |
